What sick
depraved mind
revels in the death of another?
Ask Ben Gvir
for he proudly wears a noose pin
to show his commitment
to the death of Palestinians.
For Gvir, nooses are but one option
to enforce the death penalty
For “terrorists”.
Gvir condones violence
he encourages it
he employs it, through others,
always surrounded by police and armed soldiers,
for violence against him would be “terrorism”
whilst violence by the IDF
whilst violence by settlers
(the euphemism given to illegal thugs invading the land of others)
whilst violence by prison guards
whilst violence by the State
is perfectly acceptable
because it is against Palestinians
and they, in Gvir’s eyes,
are not human.
Gvir is in charge of Israeli prisons
in which thousands of Palestinians are held
and tortured
and raped
and beaten
and killed
110 Palestinian hostages dead,
in just two and half years
those detained with or without charge.
Boasted of by Gvir
“…there has never been anything like this since the State’s founding” he says.
But, of course, such violence is nothing new.
That Gvir wears a noose pin
on his lapel
places him with the murderous, racist thugs he follows
marks him as the murderous, racist thug he is
but only ever giving orders,
issuing threats for others to carry out,
too impotent to do other than stand with guards
and boast.
He joins the lynchers of his sponsor’s history,
the noose a symbol of the Klu Klux Klan
and responsible for over 4,700 American lynchings.
He joins the terrorists of Israel’s founding,
those Irgun terrorists
who hung Sergeant Clifford Martin and Sergeant Mervyn Paice.

the leader of a “banned terrorist group”
is now the West’s friend
invited to the White House
even though HTS is still listed as a terrorist group
(But then, Netanyahu, Gvir and Smotrich are welcome there too).
Now Palestinian Action are labelled terrorists
for opposing arms exports and surveillance flights
aiding genocide,
and those, who only 77 years ago were “terrorists”,
are now trusted allies
even though they spy on their allies.
Gvir can proudly wear his noose pin
as he, like all settler colonists before him
can condone slaughter, starvation and dispossession
of “others”,
The slaughter and conquest of the Incas.
The pillaging of Africa for slavery.
The slaughter at Wounded knee,
My Lai,
Myall Lake,
Tasmania,
too many to recount.
His attitudes deplete his own humanity
no-one else’s
