killing on demand.
The existential threat is children,
or at least so you would think,
as Israel and America bomb the Sharjareh Tayyebeh Girls Elementary School
with 165 girls killed
their young lives such threats.
It must be young girls, aged eight to twelve
who are the existential threat.
Why else would a school for girls be bombed?
When such technologically advanced and precision weapons are used,
when such care is taken to protect civilians.
When the strike is not mentioned by the attackers or reported by their press
surely that is for purely operational reasons?
When 165 young girls are killed
it can only be deliberate,
a necessary blow to liberate Iranians
and especially Iranian girls and women?
But the brave men and women
of the Israeli and American killing machine
are particularly good at killing children.

might absorb not only all of Palestine but parts of Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and beyond.

between the Nile and the Euphrates
will not, as Yair Golan desires, “simply disappear”?
Then they are expendable and might be expelled or killed
for room must be made for this self-proclaimed “master race”

The existential threat could not have been
a nuclear weapon
for Iran has no such weapon,
although Israel and the US do.

America, the great champion of oppressed Iranian women

the economically disastrous conditions
from which they seek to rescue the Iranians.
Just like the Venezuelans, the Cubans
taking their oil
a means to acquiring cheap labour
as America has never liked to pay the price for its labour.
And before the pools of children’s blood

announce their strident support for their murderous allies,
standing with America and Israel
shedding no tears for murdered leaders
or, presumably, the slaughtered schoolgirls they are yet to mention
no exceptions to their strident and unfailing support
of any crime that their allies might commit,
as children suffering in the Middle East
in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria,
even when Australian citizens,
deserve nothing but contempt.
Just as they shed no tears for those murdered and abducted in Venezuela.
As we are encouraged to “turn the temperature down”
they support fires being lit by others
that cause our blood to boil with outrage.
By acting so, they show how banal, pointless and cynical they are,
by hoping that the people might “determine their own destiny”
as though that is an option that the United States would ever contemplate
or ever permit.
Have we forgotten 2003
and Iraq’s non-existent weapons of mass destruction?
That time an American installed puppet
cut his strings and turned against his puppeteer,
though not before nearly a million deaths
in America’s proxy war against Iran.
Have we forgotten 1953
when the CIA engineered a coup d’état
to overthrow elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh
and instal a compliant and obedient Shah,
even though America “believes” in democracy and self determination
as long as they agree with the choice.
A compliant and obedient Shah
who, with US support started Iran’s nuclear program,
but so brutal and barbaric
that 26 years later,
having created conditions so dreadful
that even an extreme, theocratic replacement looked better,
he was overthrown and driven into exile.

and America creating the precursor to the Taliban
to fight yet another cold war proxy war on their behalf,
portrayed so frankly in “Charlie Wilson’s war”?
And then 2021
when bitten and defeated by the dog they had trained
America left the mess behind
cementing the subjugation of Afghani girls and women,
the United States causing chaos and carnage,
as they had with Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, El Salvador, Chile, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Columbia, Costa Rica,
no price too heavy for others to pay
for American wealth and “greatness”.
